A house open to the community
CMJU-CEF is developed by a multidisciplinary team that brings together management, curatorship, management, production, communication, education, heritage and hospitality.
From Foz do Arelho, we work to preserve the memory of Jaime Umbelino and develop a house open to photography, culture, knowledge, creation and the community.
CMJU-CEF develops in dialogue with artists, researchers, schools, associations, cultural institutions, public entities and the local community.These relationships are part of the house's own identity and allow the development of new exhibitions, projects, educational programs, research initiatives and forms of participation.

CMJU-CEF is built through people, knowledge and different forms of collaboration.
A multidisciplinary team ensures the direction, curation, programming, communication, management, reception and development of the different projects of the house.
Alongside the team, a network of artists, researchers, institutions, partners, volunteers and community contributes to grow this project in Foz do Arelho.

Membership in F/SOS is more than an annual contribution. It is to be part of a community committed to photography, cultural heritage, education, solidarity and social transformation. F/SOS ASSOCIATION – PHOTOGRAPHY, SOLIDARITY AND SOCIAL WORKS It contributes to the development of projects that bring artistic creation closer to people, places and communities.Its membership helps to promote exhibitions, educational activities, artistic projects, community initiatives, heritage preservation and the development of the CEF – Photography Experimentation Centre, integrated into the Jaime Umbelino House-Museum project.Being a member means sharing the commitment to make culture more accessible, stimulate creativity and create lasting connections through photography and the arts.
