CEF – Photography Experimentation Centre
CEF – Photography Experimentation Centre is the space dedicated to photography, contemporary art and artistic creation of the Jaime Umbelino House-Museum. Through its gallery, exhibitions, residences, laboratories, workshops and educational projects, it promotes the encounter between artists, audiences and the community. A place to try languages, cross disciplines, share ideas and discover new ways of seeing the world.
Exhibitions of Contemporary Art
CEF presents an exhibition programme dedicated to photography and contemporary art, welcoming artists, projects and different forms of visual expression. Between Gallery 1 and Rooms 1 and 2 of the Jaime Umbelino House-Museum, three exhibition spaces give way to new perspectives, artistic intersections and dialogues with the territory and the community.Each exhibition is an opportunity to discover other languages, question the present and bring the public closer to contemporary creation.

At CEF, it is the starting point for a broader practice, open to crossover with other artistic disciplines and forms of knowledge.The gallery hosts exhibitions and contemporary art projects. In parallel, the center promotes activities, workshops, conversations and educational initiatives that encourage the experimentation and participation of different audiences.Integrated in the Jaime Umbelino House-Museum, CEF establishes a link between heritage, contemporary creation and community, creating space for new ideas, collaborations and forms of expression.
